QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalency preferred.Must possess a valid Nebraska driver's license and have a good driving record.Must be of good moral character.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to)Assists the driver by monitoring student behavior and upholding rules.Exercises sound judgment and maintains good public relations with parents, students, and staff.Arrives at bus barn 15 minutes before scheduled departure time.Learns the route and is able to assist substitute drivers with directions and any other pertinent information about the students and/or the route.Monitors safety supplies in and on all special education vehiclesEmergency Response ChecklistFirst AidAssist with loading and unloading of passengers.Greets students and parents with courtesy and politeness.Dresses appropriately for the job.Works in partnership with the driver.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Never Occasional Frequent Constant0% 1-32% 33-66% 67%+Standing XWalking XSitting XBending/Stooping XReaching/Pushing/Pulling XClimbing XDriving XLifting 10 lbs.
