Activities Director

Job Summary:Riverview Estates is seeking a dedicated and creative Activities Director to lead and coordinate engaging recreational and therapeutic programs for our residents. The ideal candidate will bring energy, compassion, and strong organizational skills to enhance the quality of life for individuals in our care.Key Responsibilities:Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to residents’ interests and needsOrganize daily, weekly, and monthly activity calendars, including social, educational, and therapeutic eventsFacilitate group and one-on-one activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-beingCoordinate special events, outings, and holiday celebrationsMaintain accurate documentation of resident participation and program effectivenessCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plansSupervise and support activity staff and volunteersQualifications:Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and/or Assisted Living Facility (ALF) requiredMust hold a valid Activities Director Certification or be a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)Strong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to plan and lead diverse programming for varying levels of careCompassionate, patient, and resident-focused approachBenefits:Competitive salaryHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offSupportive team environment
