Our management and representatives have developed an atmosphere of trust over the years, which has enabled deeply valued and longstanding relationships with our clients.Commercial Lines Account ExecutivePosition Summary:The Commercial Lines Account Executive is responsible for driving the retention and growth of an assigned book of business while actively pursuing new commercial opportunities. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering tailored insurance and risk management solutions, strengthening long-term relationships, and enhancing the agency's brand presence. As a key contributor to agency success, the Account Executive leads retention initiatives, identifies cross-selling opportunities, and supports new business development, all while maintaining a high standard of service, professionalism, and technical expertise.Key Responsibilities:Client Relationship Management and RetentionManage a designated book of business with a target retention rate of 98–100%Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to ensure account stability and satisfactionCollaborate with Account Managers to address service needs in a timely, accurate, and professional mannerConduct regular coverage reviews, identify gaps, and recommend appropriate risk management solutionsDrive client engagement through proactive communication, scheduled meetings, and consistent follow-upTechnical Expertise and Operational ExcellenceServe as a subject matter expert on coverage, underwriting guidelines, and carrier productsProvide technical guidance and support to team members on complex accountsEnsure accurate and complete documentation within the agency management systemPrepare applications, policy changes, and required documentation in alignment with agency standardsFollow established workflows and best practices for placing and servicing businessSales & Business DevelopmentIdentify and pursue new commercial business through networking, referrals, outreach, and community involvementConduct comprehensive needs assessments to evaluate client exposures and recommend solutionsDevelop and present customized insurance proposals, clearly communicating value beyond priceMaintain an active and organized sales pipeline within the CRM systemProfessional DevelopmentStay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and market developments through ongoing education and professional engagementParticipate in continued education and licensing activities to maintain complianceContribute to agency culture by supporting team collaboration and company eventsSupport special projects or other duties as assigned by leadershipQualifications:High School Diploma requiredActive New Jersey Property & Casualty license requiredMinimum of 3 years of commercial insurance service and/or sales experienceStrong knowledge of commercial property & casualty coverages and carrier productsSkilled in promoting and selling services with a client-focused approachProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with agency management systems (e.g., AMS360 or Applied Epic) and CRM platformsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detailProven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and business partnersResults-driven, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaborativelyComfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel as neededAbility to pass a criminal background check, as permitted by lawHours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pmOffice Location: 492 Franklin Avenue, Nutley, NJ 07110 (Hybrid Work Options)Benefits:Competitive Compensation PackageHealth Insurance Plans (PPO, HSA, Copay Options)Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceCompany Paid Disability InsuranceSupplemental Insurance including Critical Illness, Accident, Legal, Pet Insurance401(k) with Safe Harbor MatchPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysNo Solicitation Notification to Agencies: Please note that Keystone and our Partner Agencies do not accept unsolicited resumes or calls from third-party recruiters or employment agencies.
