Compensation is $16.45 per hour. This position is Tip/Tipping Pool eligible. You must anticipate the needs of our guests and the Server team and be an essential part of our elevated approach to service.Strong candidates will be driven, proactive, anticipatory, organized, and committed to exceptional service.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Servers, Bartenders, Expo, and Managers to keep our restaurant running smoothlyDeliver a high level of hospitality and caring to our guestsMaintain a clean and elegant dining room by clearing, breaking down, and resetting tablesRun food and deliver dishes to guests with efficiency and professionalismStock all stations with the needed glassware, cutlery, and dishes.Monitor service areas in the bar, living room, and dining roomServe In Room Dining orders and perform IRD dish collectionsOther duties include but are not limited to: completing side work, brewing coffee and tea, cleaning, organizing, and restockingHave knowledge and familiarity with our culinary and beverage menus, and a willingness to deepen expertise in these areasKeep a neat, groomed, professional appearance as per The Allison guidelines. Be in a proper, clean, well-maintained uniform at all timesMaintain sanitation and cleanliness per Jory and Oregon state health guidelinesFollow service guidelines through the complete meal serviceServe as liaison with front desk and restaurant managers for guest needs and commentsClose restaurant properly, prepare for the next shift and complete side-work and cleaning dailyAny additional duties assigned by managementJob Skills/Requirements/QualificationsRequired experience: 1 year in a restaurant or in customer serviceHigh school diploma or GEDAbility to read, write, and communicate in EnglishInterest in fine dining cuisine and elevated beveragesExperience in the food and beverage industry is preferredAn enthusiastic, positive demeanor and desire to provide exceptional guest serviceMust be available to work on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and evenings and holidaysWillingness to work long hours, irregular shifts, weekends, holidays, and blackout daysAdhere to The Allison Inn & Spa Food and Beverage grooming and appearance standards, or ability to adjust appearance accordinglyPossess an OLCC Service PermitPossess a current Food Handlers CardClear pre-employment Background CheckWorking conditions/Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds of heavy wine, boxes, suppliesAbility to carry up to 25 pounds across the distance of the various dining areasAbility to reach with hand and arms, sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb throughout the property, be in refrigerated areas, and to talk or hearStanding, walking, bending, reaching, and kneeling for extended periods of time up to eight (8) hours per shiftSpecific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusThe noise level is moderateThe work environment has frequent temperature swings as the employee moves between guest spaces, outdoors, and refrigerators for exampleReasonable accommodations may be requested by participating in an interactive process
