Oil & Gas Project Engineer
Insight Global is seeking an Oil & Gas Project Engineer to support a leading engineering client in Denver, CO. This role will lead engineering efforts for natural gas pipelines, liquids pipelines, and associated facilities across a rapidly expanding U.S. Oil & Gas program.The Project Engineer will be actively involved in pipeline design, permitting, construction support, and execution, while also mentoring junior engineers and occasionally stepping into a task‑level project management or deputy PM role. Projects range from mainline pipelines and trenchless crossings to metering, regulating, compression, and protection facilities, offering broad technical exposure and long-term growth.QualificationsRequired Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in EngineeringMinimum 5+ years of oil & gas industry experienceStrong experience with natural gas pipelines, including trenchless crossingsExperience working with natural gas regulating and facility systemsProject execution experience including:Site investigationsPermitting and environmental evaluationConstructability and execution planningProficiency with PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and/or RevitValid driver’s license with a safe driving recordNice to HavePE or P.Eng licensureExperience with ArcGIS, Google Earth, and Microsoft Office toolsExperience interfacing with Federal, State, and local agencies, municipalities, and community boardsPrior exposure to procurement, bid evaluations, and construction phase supportWhy this Role:Work on high-impact oil & gas infrastructure projects across the U.S.Strong mix of design, field involvement, and project execution—not just desk engineeringOpportunity to mentor younger engineers and influence technical standardsPathway into project management leadership as a deputy PMExposure to a wide variety of assets: pipelines, trenchless installs, metering/regulation, compressionLimited travel (typically under 20%), with flexibility based on preference and workloadStable role supporting a rapidly expanding Oil & Gas program
