Billing Clerk

Position Summary:The Accounting Assistant Intern will support the Accounting Department by performing entry-level tasks related to bookkeeping, data entry, accounts receivable/payable, and document management. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in accounting processes while contributing to the daily financial operations of the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with routine financial transactions including data entry, account coding, and invoice processingHelp maintain accurate records for accounts payable and accounts receivableSupport reconciliation of vendor accounts and monthly statements under supervisionAssist with digital and physical filing of accounting documentsHelp identify opportunities to improve accounting processesProvide general administrative and clerical support to the Accounting TeamMaintain confidentiality and professionalism in all workPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications and Requirements:Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldBasic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred)Experience with Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn accounting software (QuickBooks experience a plus)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsWillingness to learn and take direction in a professional environmentAbility to maintain regular attendance and punctualityMust be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card if required Work Environment/Physical Requirements:Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Sit for extended periods of time. Ability to view large volumes of written materials via computer screen, records, correspondence, and/or documentation for extended periods of time.Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Perform some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling (up to 40 lbs. and above). Maintain independent mobility to move about the school throughout the day. Work in noisy and crowded environments.The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
