We seek a dynamic and dedicated Literacy Teacher to join our team and inspire students in grades 6th through 8th to excel in reading, writing, and critical literacy skills.Position Overview:We are seeking a passionate Literacy Teacher who can engage middle school students with innovative and effective literacy instruction. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting students' growth in reading comprehension, writing proficiency, and overall literacy skills.Responsibilities:Develop and implement engaging literacy lessons for grades 6-8 aligned with state standards.Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those who require enrichment and remediation.Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments.Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to enhance their literacy skills.Collaborate with colleagues regularlyCommunicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and support needs.Participate in school and district meetings, professional development, and ongoing learning opportunities.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Literacy, or related field (Master's degree preferred).Valid teaching certification for Literacy or English/Language Arts in grades 6-8.Strong knowledge of literacy strategies, curriculum, and assessment methods.Experience teaching literacy in middle school (grades 6-8) preferred.Ability to engage and motivate students to develop a lifelong love of reading and writing.Passion for teaching and commitment to student success in a rural school setting.
