This remote opportunity focuses on creating user-centered experiences for clinicians and staff.OPPORTUNITY6-month Contract-to-Hire; Fully Remote (U.S. – Central & Eastern Time Zones)SALARY $130,000 – $140,000 W2 plus benefitsKEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead end-to-end research and design efforts from discovery to delivery, including scoping, planning, workshop facilitation, prioritization, tracking, and managing multiple projects simultaneouslyPartner with multiple product pods, working closely with product, engineering, and other designers to create concepts and designs, gather feedback and rapidly iterate, set OKRs, and measure workDeliver design assets, including experience vision, wireframes, prototypes, and flow diagramsFocused on clinical applications and transformationProjects include new applications, EHR integrations, and AI design explorationEnsure designs are informed by research and address business and stakeholders needsWhile research remains a key component, there is an increased emphasis on design experiencePortfolios should include web application design examples to ensure alignment with current project needs75% design, 25% research for human-centered design practicesKEY EXPERIENCEProfessional experience in research, service design, systems thinking, and/or product designStrong research skills – qualitative methods (interviews, shadowing, workshops)Experience designing EHR integrations using established design systems and librariesExperience working in an innovation pod or start-up environmentUI/UX design – application design, user flows, FigmaDocumentation – detailed flow diagrams, concept testing, usability testingExperience designing AI applications (e.g., generative AI, predictive models)Medical/clinical terminology knowledge including tools (Figma, FigJam, Google Suite, Jira)Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Interaction Design, UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related fieldINTERVIEW PROCESSQuick turnaround: preliminary interview followed by team interview on phone and Google Meets.Typically, two rounds with the hiring manager, joined by the team (virtual interview), possibly three rounds if necessary.Orion Groups is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
