Resident Assistant

Job Description The Resident Assistant will be offering personal care services to the residents of our Assisted Living facility. They will be responsible to the Administrator of The Haven, a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE). This will include working with the other Resident Assistants to ensure that resident needs pertaining to the activities of daily living are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Report on shift when expected / stay until shift endsAlways use safety measures for resident and self when using body mechanics.Assist with safe transfer to and from bed, chair, sofa, commode, walkerFollow basic hygiene and infection control practices; a list of which will be reviewed and distributed to all staffContribute to a positive, healthy, and safe living and work environmentProtect the confidentiality and security of all resident informationDocument daily care notesMaintain calendar / organize mailRecognize emergencies and have knowledge of emergency procedures associated with what is presentedAttend paid mandatory staff events / training and meetingsEngage in mental exerciseReport significant changes in a residents needsImplement resident care plan(s)Report questions / concerns to management in a timely mannerRecognize behaviors that would constitute elder abuse or neglectMaintain calendar / organize mailRecognize emergencies and have knowledge of emergency procedures associated with what is presentedAttend paid mandatory staff events / training and meetingsEngage in mental exerciseReport significant changes in a residents needsImplement resident care plan(s)Report questions / concerns to management in a timely mannerRecognize behaviors that would constitute elder abuse or neglectCompany DescriptionBETHANY provides security, support and care of the highest possible quality, at levels appropriate to each individual's needs.
