We are The Y, an association that values and is made stronger by its diverse people.Job DescriptionThe Director, Quality Controls supports strategy development, risk mitigation and implementation of practices, in support of safe, relevant and sustainable Ys. This position must bring progressive thought leadership and next-level problem solving as we focus on education, awareness and accountability to strengthen and protect our Y brand. Through intentional relationship building, communication and influence, this position will engage with network leaders as they make critical strategic decisions around enterprise risk, local Y operations, CMS compliance and leading practices.YMCA of the USA is a work from anywhere in the U.S. workplace.QualificationsMinimum 10 years of experience in three of the areas indicated here - risk mitigation, quality assurance, facility/program operations, liability/property insurance, and crisis management.Minimum 5 years Executive Leadership experience.Ability to travel 40% of the time.Demonstrated ability to scale a broad organizational initiative across regional and national platforms.Demonstrated experience catalyzing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with individuals, professional networks and third-party partners/vendors.Demonstrated experience motivating, influencing and leading others.Demonstrated experience assessing, mitigating, and leading an organization through their enterprise risk and change management initiatives.Excellent consultative and facilitation skills.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.Demonstrated ability to align and integrate objectives and resources to accomplish goals.Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing processes.Experienced in synthesizing data to be used for predictive and future modeling scenarios.Commitment to our Y personality attributes, performance behaviors and character values.Essential FunctionsYMCA Membership Qualifications Support CMS in ensuring local Y understanding of membership qualifications.Co-create and execute education and awareness campaign.Assist with monitoring compliance and implementing real-time mitigation efforts.Co-create a framework that incentivizes compliance, encourages progress and rewards positive behaviors.Support the design, development and management of an onsite visitation and validation process.Crisis Response Support local Y incident/accident response in partnership with other intersecting teams and our network partners.Quality Assurance, Management and ControlSupport the sourcing and/or development of tools and resources designed to mitigate risk in local Ys and YUSAStay informed on industry trends and use data to inform current and future mitigation efforts. Work in partnership with Learning and Leadership Development to ensure best-in-class monitoring of certification trainings, to ensure course fidelity in our trainer and faculty partners.Support the integration of risk mitigation resources into local Y operations.Use of technology to advance a culture of safety and/or create efficiencies.Serve as active partner on local Y risk and sustainability assessments and audits.Common MetricsPost Incident CMSStrategic EngagementPractice LeadershipMobilize the service delivery network in support of advancing membership compliance, strengthening risk mitigation efforts and implementation of leading practices. Engage in the development and activation of leading practices across program and operational areas.Co-create resources and systems to assist local Ys to identify key risks and assess internal controls.Consult with Ys around mitigating risk through quality controls and leading practices.Monitor industry wide risk indicators and escalate emerging concerns.Co-create a framework that ensures consistent accountability and provides solution-based support.Lead, co-lead and/or support assigned organizational initiatives.
