Mechanical Technician
The Mechanical Technician will support manufacturing by assembling, servicing, and maintaining complex electromechanical equipment. This role involves mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, incoming inspection, and documentation to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and product quality across production and R&D environments.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble mechanical components and electrical systems according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.Perform precision alignments, calibrations, and diagnostics on production equipmentTroubleshoot and repair mechanical issues involving motors, gear systems, pumps, and other industrial componentsWork closely with engineering teams to implement system upgrades and mechanical improvementsMaintain detailed logs, schematics, and repair documentation for traceability and operational excellenceEnsure adherence to safety standards and contribute to continuous improvementSupport testing and validation of equipment performance during commissioning and ramp-up phasesUse hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment to perform precise assembly work.Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet performance and safety standards.Troubleshoot and identify issues during the assembly process and recommend corrective measures if needed.Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production schedules and resolve technical challenges.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to ensure efficiency and safety.Document assembly processes and maintain records of completed work.5+ years of experience as a mechanical technician working with industrial equipmentDemonstrated experience in assembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance of large-scale or complex electromechanical systemsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical schematics, and technical documentationFamiliarity with machine tools, welding, rigging, and fabrication techniquesStrong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and system reliabilityExperience working in startup or R&D environments is a plusMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, stand for an extended period of time, and climb laddersAbility to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to travel off-site to vendor locations within 40 miles of company headquarters (mileage reimbursed)Compensation details: 30-38 Hourly WagePI63b5daf718d1-31181-40225668RequiredPreferredJob IndustriesOther
