Data Engineer (Systems Analyst III)Total Required Experience in Years: Minimum 8+ YearsMode of Work: Hybrid (Local Austin Candidates Only)Job Description:Seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the development, enhancement, and optimization of enterprise data integration and analytics solutions within a centralized performance management and reporting environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IICS, Snowflake SQL, ETL development, dimensional data modeling, Tableau reporting, and enterprise data integration. This role requires designing, developing, automating, and optimizing scalable ETL workflows, integrating complex enterprise datasets from multiple source systems, building dimensional models for analytics, and supporting business intelligence reporting environments. The candidate will collaborate with analysts, architects, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into efficient, secure, and scalable technical solutions while ensuring healthcare-related PII/PHI data security compliance and adherence to modern data engineering best practices.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain ETL mappings, workflows, and integrations using Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS Develop optimized Snowflake SQL scripts for complex data transformation, processing, and analytics workloads Acquire, cleanse, transform, and integrate data from Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, Adobe PDF, and enterprise systems Design and develop dimensional data models to support Tableau dashboards, analytics, and business intelligence reporting Collaborate with Agile teams, business analysts, architects, developers, and stakeholders to gather and analyze technical and business requirements Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives Validate system outputs and ensure data accuracy, integrity, reliability, and quality standards are maintained Create technical documentation, mapping specifications, workflow diagrams, and systems documentation using tools such as Visio and Erwin Support deployment, CI/CD automation, and version control processes using GitHub and GitHub Actions Develop automation scripts and integrations using Python, REST/SOAP web services, Java, and JavaScript where required Ensure compliance with healthcare security, privacy, PII, and PHI handling standards Support enterprise integration and interoperability initiatives involving Mulesoft and web services Additional Responsibilities Troubleshoot ETL workflows, database performance issues, and data integration failures Participate in architecture discussions and recommend scalable data engineering solutions Evaluate modern analytics and AI-enabled tools including Snowflake Cortex and Informatica Claire Coordinate with stakeholders and project managers to prioritize deliverables and timelines Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and best practice recommendations to team members Support continuous improvement initiatives across enterprise analytics and data engineering environments Required Skills Minimum 8 years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica IICS ETL development Minimum 8 years of experience integrating enterprise data from Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, Adobe PDF, and related sources Minimum 8 years of experience developing and optimizing Snowflake SQL scripts Strong experience with ETL development, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and analytics systems Strong analytical, systems analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities Experience with technical documentation, Visio, Erwin, and Microsoft Office tools Experience supporting scalable software platforms and enterprise data integration environments Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using JIRA Knowledge of healthcare data security standards and PII/PHI handling requirements Experience with Python scripting, REST/SOAP services, Java, JavaScript, and API integrations Familiarity with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and Mulesoft integrations Experience with AI-powered data engineering tools such as Snowflake Cortex or Informatica Claire preferred Qualifications Prior experience in Healthcare or Health & Human Services (HHS) environments preferred Experience supporting enterprise BI, analytics, and Tableau visualization platforms preferred Experience with cloud-based data engineering and integration platforms highly desirable Local Austin candidates only preferred Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Certifications Agile/Scrum certification preferred Snowflake certification preferred Informatica certification preferred Tableau certification preferred
