Job Title: Business Data AnalystLocation: Waukegan, ILPay: $90-120K DOEPosition SummaryThe Business Data Analyst supports supply chain performance through data-driven insights, strategic reporting, and advanced analytics. This role is focused on improving forecast accuracy, supporting Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP), optimizing inventory levels, and enhancing operational efficiency across the supply chain. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Purchasing, Finance, and Commercial teams to analyze complex data, identify trends and risks, and provide actionable recommendations that support business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Analytics & ReportingDeliver accurate and timely business intelligence to support Supply Chain and SIOP functionsDevelop and maintain dashboards and reports related to forecast accuracy, inventory health, supplier performance, and production efficiencyOwn SIOP reporting and provide weekly/monthly updates highlighting gaps, trends, and improvement opportunitiesAnalyze historical and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvementSupport monthly forecasting cycles and scenario planning initiativesData Management & Process ImprovementMaintain and improve databases, reporting tools, and data models to support decision-makingValidate ERP/MRP master data including routings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)Act as a gatekeeper for master data accuracy and change management processesTrack and measure KPIs related to operational efficiency, inventory alignment, and forecasting performancePartner with Planning, Operations, and Sourcing teams to identify and quantify operational improvements and supply risksCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Planning and Commercial teams to align demand forecasts with operational capabilitiesSupport strategic vendor analysis and sourcing initiativesParticipate in benchmarking and continuous improvement initiatives to support world-class supply chain operationsQualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferredEquivalent work experience may be consideredExperience5+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing operations, or business analytics2+ years of experience supporting SIOP planning and forecasting processesExperience with demand forecasting, inventory analysis, production planning, or operational analyticsFamiliarity with packaging or contract manufacturing environments is a plusStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsTechnical SkillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, SUMIFS, etc.)Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Microsoft Navision or similar platformsExperience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools preferredKnowledge of statistical forecasting and trend analysis techniquesFamiliarity with SharePoint and collaborative reporting toolsAdditional SkillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to interpret complex data and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersHigh level of professionalism and confidentialityPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods while working on a computerAbility to lift up to 15 pounds occasionallyTraditional office environment with standard noise levelsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Forecast accuracy and biasTimeliness and quality of SIOP reportingERP master data integrity and reporting accuracyInventory alignment and operational efficiency metricsOn-time delivery of analytics and reporting deliverablesRouting accuracy and operational uptimeABOUT ACCURATE PERSONNELDo you need your next job fast?
