Bellperson
The Bellperson is the first and last impression of The Westgate Hotel for our guests. This role is responsible for greeting guests with warmth, assisting with luggage, escorting guests to their rooms, providing directions and information about hotel amenities and local attractions, and ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience. Bellpersons are expected to deliver five-star service and represent the hotel with professionalism, enthusiasm, and care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Greet all guests promptly and courteously upon arrival and departure Assist with luggage loading and unloading, and escort guests to and from their rooms Offer information about the hotel, its amenities, and nearby attractions Deliver items to guest rooms as requested (e.g., amenities, packages, luggage) Maintain a clean and organized bell desk and lobby area Coordinate transportation services for guests (e.g., taxi, shuttle, valet) Provide directions and answer guest inquiries with professionalism Assist with room moves and group arrivals/departures Log and tag all luggage in storage, ensuring security procedures are followed Communicate effectively with front desk and valet team to support smooth operations Exhibit strong knowledge of emergency procedures and safety protocols Qualifications:Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred Friendly, outgoing, and guest-oriented demeanor Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 75 lbs) Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings Knowledge of San Diego attractions is a plus Must maintain a polished, professional appearance Physical Requirements:Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and pushing/pulling luggage carts Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Equal Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
