Sap Finance Control Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI/CO Consultant (SME) to join an international, financial transformation program within the defense and government sector.This is a hands-on expert role (non-lead), ideal for a senior SAP finance professional who thrives in complex, highly regulated environments. You will directly shape financial processes used in mission-critical and security-sensitive operations, ensuring solutions are robust, compliant, and aligned with defense industry standards.If you’re looking for a role where your SAP expertise has real-world impact, this is it.What You’ll DoDesign and optimize financial accounting and controlling processes tailored to defense and military requirementsTranslate complex business needs into SAP FI/CO solutionsParticipate in full SAP S/4HANA project lifecycle (requirements → design → build → test → deploy → support)Configure and integrate SAP FI/CO with other modules (SD, MM, PS)Analyze and improve financial processes in regulated environmentsLead workshops with stakeholders and gather business requirementsPrepare functional documentation and support audits/compliance needsSupport testing, deployment, and post-go-live activitiesContribute to end-user training and knowledge transferWhat We’re Looking For7+ years of experience in SAP FI/COStrong expertise in Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO)At least 3 years of experience in federal or public sector financeExperience in minimum 2 full SAP S/4HANA project lifecyclesHands-on experience with Funds Management integration (2+ years)Knowledge of SAP integrations with SD, MM, and PS modulesExperience in defense contracting or military support environmentsExperience working in secure or classified environments (nice to have)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field (preferred)SAP FI/CO certification (strong advantage)Security RequirementsEU/NATO citizenship with a valid passport (mandatory)Eligibility for or active EU/NATO security clearance (advantage)Ability to pass background checks required for defense projectsHigh level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality and data securityWhat We OfferOpportunity to work on high-impact defense and government SAP programsExposure to complex, regulated financial environmentsFull involvement in SAP S/4HANA transformation projectsCollaboration with IBM and international expert teamsStrong focus on professional growth and SAP best practicesWork on mission-critical financial systems with real-world impactExperience with advanced cross-module SAP integrations
