Software Developer - Power Bi

Job Title: Software Engineer Location: Integrated Packaging Solutions (IPS) Department: Engineering Reports To: Director of Product Engineering Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer with expertise in C#/.NET using WinForms/WPF, SQL database development, Azure Cloud Services with DevOps experience, and machine-based software systems to join our dynamic development team in our Golden, CO office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software design, coding, testing, and deployment, with a focus on developing and maintaining applications that interface with machine-based systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, efficient, and reliable software solutions that meet business needs and improve user experiences. Due to the requirements of this position, we are only considering candidates who can regularly commute to our local office. Key Responsibilities: · Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using C#/.NET and WinForms/WPF. · Design, develop, and maintain professional, responsive, and intuitive enterprise-level reporting software in Power Bi and Azure. · Develop and maintain SQL databases, write complex queries, and optimize database performance. · Work with machine-based software systems, ensuring the integration of software with hardware components. · Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following industry best practices. · Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver software solutions. · Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability. · Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability of code. · Troubleshoot and debug software issues, identifying solutions and implementing fixes. · Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability, especially in machine-driven environments. · Stay up to date with the latest trends in software engineering, machine-based systems, and technology. · Assist in the development and maintenance of use case documentation and testing for all new and existing software. · Work with the software team to create and execute development roadmaps for all new and existing software, driving toward a quarterly release structure. · Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools. · Customer/Client assessment: Work directly with our customers for support and development. Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). · Proven experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role. · Strong proficiency in C#/.NET for software development, including WinForms/WPF applications. · Extensive experience with SQL database development, including writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance. · Experience scripting the deployment of Azure resources · Experience with developing and maintaining machine-based software systems or interfacing software with hardware. · Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum. · Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. · Strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git). · Experience with CI/CD pipelines · Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
