This hands-on leadership role is critical to ensuring the accurate, safe, and efficient flow of materials across inbound, packaging, and outbound operations. The Warehouse Supervisor will serve as a key resource for training and mentoring associates, coordinating daily workflow, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity during our second shift schedule (2:30 p.m.–1:00 a.m., Monday–Thursday).ResponsibilitiesProvide direct supervision and leadership to warehouse personnel across assigned departments (Inbound, Packaging, Outbound)Maintain a consistent and visible presence on the warehouse floor, setting expectations for safety, productivity, accuracy, and conductAssign daily work, balance labor based on volume and priorities, and ensure operational coverageAudit, review, and approve employee timecards, including attendance exceptions, overtime, and schedule adherencePartner with Management to manage staffing needs, coverage gaps, and labor efficiencyServe as the first line of defense in employee performance management and discipline, including:Coaching and corrective conversationsVerbal and written warnings in accordance with company policyTimely documentation of performance, attendance, and conduct issuesEscalate disciplinary actions, investigations, and complex employee relations matters to Management and Human Resources as requiredEnforce company policies, safety standards, and workplace rules consistently and fairlyConduct safety observations and ensure compliance with material handling, equipment, and facility safety requirementsEnsure accurate execution of picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions using the Warehouse Management System (WMS)Review and address order accuracy issues, inventory discrepancies, and process breakdownsSupport and validate cycle counts, physical inventories, and audit activitiesTrain, coach, and develop Warehouse Leads and Associates, including onboarding and cross-trainingProvide performance feedback and input into employee evaluations and development plansCollaborate with Managers and cross-functional partners to drive continuous improvement initiativesMaintain cleanliness, organization, and operational discipline in all assigned work areasRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)5+ years of distribution center experience, including demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibilitiesProven experience supervising employees in a warehouse or operations environmentStrong working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)Excellent problem-solving skillsStrong math, reading, and analytical skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lead with consistency, fairness, and accountabilityWilling to work overtime when necessary Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks Prolonged standing and walkingVisual acuity to distinguish detail, color, and other characteristics of material and objects Finger/wrist dexterity for computer keyboard use or handling/packaging product Comfortable working around material handling equipment in a fast-paced environment_______________ _ _ _ _ _ _Benefits: NSI Industries offers a competitive salary, performance-based and attendance bonuses for certain roles.
