Includes selection of items such as VFD’s, over-current protection, power transformers and UL508A panels. Create electrical schematics, one-lines and panel layouts on AutoCAD Electrical Software. Work with sales engineers to design low voltage DDC/PLC control systems for customer HVAC equipment. Includes create of P&ID drawings, points lists, sequence of operation, etc. Provide final project documentation, such as as-builts, installation operation & maintenance manuals and system parameters. Assist with R&D projects and systems validations. Provide engineering design, evaluation, planning, and construction administration of power, lighting, and fire alarm systems. Prepare overcurrent protection coordination and short circuit calculations to select and determine AIC ratings of equipment, accordingly. Prepare voltage drop calculations. QualificationsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineer, or equivalent. HVAC system concepts, equipment, and terminologies. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Networking and MS Office. National Electrical Code, UL508A and NFPA standards. Excellent communication, and time management skills.
