We value the rich diversity that comes from blending local perspective with our global network.As an Analyst on the Shareholder Advisory and Activism Defense Team, you will work in small highly collaborative teams advising public company boards and C-Suite executives on a wide range of complex and high-stakes topics. These include analyzing shareholder bases and investing protocols across sectors, supporting strategic dialogue regarding who owns a stock and why, assessing investor reaction to strategic actions (M&A) and capital allocation and corporate financial policies and bringing an analytical lens to shareholder activism and corporate governance. The role emphasizes quantitative analysis and the development and application of data analytics and AI tools to understand these topics.We’ll Trust You To D evelop and maintain quantitative models and proprietary analytical frameworks to support client advisory work Analyze and synthesize data from shareholder base, shareholder activism and equity markets databases Leverage AI-enabled research and analytics platforms to automate workflows and facilitate analysis Support advice regarding activism and hostile takeover defense and strategic M&A with shareholder analytics and shareholder engagement advice Track and evaluate trends in equity ownership, shareholder activism and corporate governance Contribute to thought leadership efforts and participate in internal marketing initiatives Take a leadership role in publishing topical memos for internal and external client use You’ll Need To Have Current enrollment at a US university with an expected graduation date of June 2026 Excellent academic credentials; Minimum 3.7 GPA Interest in shareholder activism, corporate governance and/ or public equity market ecosystem Strong quantitative and analytical skills and proficiency in data management Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work across interdisciplinary teams Confident and skilled communicator in both written and verbal format Demonstrated track record of success in an intellectually demanding, fast paced environment Excellent time management skills and ability to work on multiple high priority projects simultaneously Highly motivated self-starter with intellectual curiosity and ability to think creatively on bespoke projects What We OfferAnalysts will participate in an intensive four-week training program concentrating on corporate finance and accounting, taught in New York by outside professors and Lazard bankers.We strive to enhance the total health and well-being of our employees through comprehensive, competitive benefits.
