You are encouraged to unlock your full potential by directly contributing to our mission and prioritizing personal development and fulfillment.The Role We are seeking a Consultant, Claims Analytics to support analytic engagements that help health plans better understand claims data, identify cost and utilization trends, improve reimbursement accuracy, and enhance operational performance.This role will support the analytics pod, with a focus on medical management and prior authorization use cases. The Consultant will work closely with Senior Consultants and Managers to execute analyses, develop data-driven insights, and contribute to client deliverables.Work You'll DoSupport claims analytics projects across payer and provider clientsExecute SQL queries and analyses on large healthcare datasetsWork with medical, pharmacy, eligibility, provider, and pricing dataAssist in identifying utilization patterns, cost drivers, and reimbursement trendsValidate data accuracy and support quality assurance processesBuild dashboards and reports using BI tools to support client insightsTranslate analytical findings into clear summaries and presentationsCollaborate with Senior Consultants and Managers on project executionSupport documentation of methodologies and analytic approachesParticipate in client discussions and internal working sessionsOther duties as assignedRequirements2 to 5+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, claims analytics, actuarial analysis, or payer/provider operations with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experienceExperience working with healthcare claims data or health plan datasetsProficiency in SQL and experience analyzing large datasetsExperience with Snowflake, Python, Excel, or similar analytics toolsFamiliarity with BI tools such as Power BI or TableauBasic understanding of healthcare reimbursement concepts and claims data structuresStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate technical findings in a clear and structured wayAbility to work collaboratively in a team-based environmentMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorshipPreferred RequirementsExposure to medical management, utilization management, prior authorization, or clinical operationsExperience working with health plans or consulting firmsExperience with automated analytic workflows or ETL processesFamiliarity with healthcare coding systems including CPT, HCPCS, ICD, DRG, and APCExperience building dashboards or recurring analytics reportsBased in Chicago, IL, with flexibility to work from the Chicago office as neededCompensation & BenefitsFlexible PTO, monthly half-day refuels, volunteer time off, 10 paid holidaysOwn Your Day flexible work policyCompetitive majority employer-paid benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K MatchGenerous paid parental leave optionsEmployer-paid Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Long Term DisabilityCharitable contribution matching programNew client commission opportunities and referral bonus programBike share discount programThe estimated base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000. In addition to this base salary, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is a part of a competitive, total compensation package together with our majority employer-paid benefits and incentive pay for eligible roles.
