Sr. Program Manager Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Sr. Program Manager for a contract position in Columbia, CT. The opportunity will be for six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Position Summary: As the primary point of accountability, you will manage and oversee significant projects or programs that span multiple IT and/or business areas, addressing complex business goals. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Candidates with prior experience at similar companies like MassMutual, Empower, Fidelity, Lincoln Financial, Travelers, The Hartford, MetLife, and the like- these candidates have been what the manager has been eyeing closely. But Financial Retirement Services experience and the ability to ramp up quickly. Serve as the primary point of accountability to business partners and other parties for project planning, day-to-day execution, management, implementation, readiness, and reporting of large and significant projects or small to large programs. Manage projects where the scope is subject to change, and involves high complexity, a high degree of risk, a large number of resources, and complex organizational change issues that support moderate to complex business unit or corporate goals. May provide management and oversight for a business or IT portfolio. Accountable for managing and monitoring project tasks and controls during portfolio planning, project planning, and delivery activities to ensure on-time and quality outcomes are met within scope and budget. Work independently and apply expert project and program management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project deliverables, processes, communications, and presentations to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations. Understand, apply, promote, and contribute to Voya delivery methodologies, standards, and tools. Qualifications: Looking for candidates with AI exposure This is a hands-on role requiring around 5 years of experience with retirement companies in project management. A PMP certification is considered a plus. Candidates with prior experience at similar companies, such as Financial, Empower, Fidelity, Lincoln Financial, Travelers, Insurance, and Client, are highly desirable. Experience in Financial Retirement Services and the ability to ramp up quickly is essential. Must be proficient in Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Additionally, candidates should be Microsoft Office pros and knowledgeable in project management software, such as Planview or Clarity.
