The stated pay range reflects what we reasonably anticipate offering at the time of posting, but actual compensation may vary in accordance with legal guidelines.Job Overview:This role involves delivering direct nursing care in environments where patients require intricate assessments and interventions, adhering to the established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.Key Responsibilities:Gather comprehensive information from patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to create a complete understanding of the patient's needs or condition.Evaluate and integrate data from assessments to determine relevant diagnoses or conditions for care.Collaborate with patients, families, and the interprofessional team to identify optimal outcomes.Formulate a care plan that outlines strategies and alternatives to achieve desired outcomes, utilizing clinical judgment in partnership with patients, families, and the care team.Execute the care plan, ensuring a safe environment and coordinating efforts with patients, families, and the interprofessional team.Assess processes and progress towards achieving goals and outcomes.Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, reflecting on personal performance and staying updated with current knowledge and skills.Communicate effectively across all areas of practice, fostering collaboration with patients, families, and the interprofessional team.Employ clinical inquiry and integrate the best available evidence into practice.Utilize established evidence-based practices and scientific knowledge in critical care nursing, ensuring care is tailored to the patient's age-specific and clinical needs as outlined in the department's Scope of Service.Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely.Perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:Education:Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing.Experience:No prior experience is necessary.Physical Demands:Regularly use speech for oral communication.Consistently stand and walk.Frequently lift, carry, and push/pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.Engage in frequent sitting, reaching, and data entry.Regularly utilize vision for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, as well as color differentiation.Frequently use smell to identify odors.Regularly use hearing to receive oral communication and detect alarms or machinery issues.Occasionally lift, carry, and push/pull objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.Occasionally assist in lifting/moving patients.Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, grip, and perform repetitive movements with legs and arms.Occasionally drive.Rarely crawl or run.Required Licenses and Certifications:For Illinois:Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) -
