Geotechnical Field Technician

Position & Office Overview As a Geotechnical Field Technician, you understand the true meaning of hard work. You are smart, strong, and willing to get dirty. We believe our technicians are worth it - and that's why you'll have all the opportunity for career growth within our company you'll want.Responsibilities Operating and maintaining pressure meter testing equipment Laying out borings and test pits with conventional surveying and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) Observing and classifying test pits and performing hang auger borings Being involved in site seismic testing and Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA) testing Classifying samples obtained from drilling operations Testing, sampling, and inspecting soil Performing routine field and laboratory tests Qualifications High school diploma or GED; BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university preferred 0 - 2 years of experience Position requires carrying 40 - 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height Military Qualifications The following US Military ranks will qualify for this position IF they also meet the education requirements from the above section titled "Required Qualifications": E-4 About Us ECS Group of Companies (ECS) was founded in 1988 with the goal to raise the standards of professional engineering consulting.
