This entry-level position requires no prior experiencejust a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. You'll be working in a physically demanding environment that is warm, loud, and fast-paced. Candidates must be comfortable standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, and handling molten metal with confidence and care.This position offers opportunities for cross-training in multiple production-related tasks, helping you grow your skills and advance within the company.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor furnace conditions and take accurate readingsPerform refractory repairs to cupola, ladles, and furnacesSafely handle, haul, and process molten ironSlag off and dump furnaces; rod as neededMaintain cleanliness of the melt area and production yardOperate yard crane, bobcat, and forkliftLoad and unload railcars; break up returnsReceive and process scrap metalsAccurately weigh and charge metalsAdjust chemistry of iron as neededQualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldNo prior experience or educational background requiredAbility to read and follow detailed work instructionsComfortable working at heightsAble to work in a loud, hot, physically intense environmentTeam-first mindset with a strong sense of responsibilityWork Schedule12 hour shifts, depending on plant needsOvertime required based on production volumeWorkdays typically Monday Friday, with occasional weekendsBenefitsCompetitive health and dental insuranceLife and disability insurance401(k) with generous company matchPaid 2 weeks of vacation and holidays24 hours of PTOOpportunities for career advancement and cross-trainingNeenah Foundry Company is an equal opportunity employer.
