Technical Operations LeadIndee Labs is a biotechnology startup backed by SOSV, Y Combinator, Social Capital and Founders Fund. The team at Indee Labs develops and markets Hydropore for more effective engineered cell therapies.Indee Lab's non-viral delivery platform, Hydropore, is a robust solution that overcomes the limitations and costs of electroporation, viral transduction, and other non-viral transfection methods. Hydropore is being developed in collaboration with 3 of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies, various biotechs, and leading research institutions including UC San Francisco, Stanford, Medical University of South Carolina, the National Cancer Institute, and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease among others.We are seeking a Technical Operations Lead to join the team full-time to accelerate the development of Hydropore in our Berkeley office. Indee Labs is headquartered in Berkeley, CA, and accommodates remote work. This position will be located in Berkeley, CA and occasional work travel may be required.ResponsibilitiesOwning technology transfer to our growing customer base inclusive of quality control, packaging, and shipping of instruments and chip plates.Tracking inventory and instruments in an audit-ready manner in collaboration with our accountants.Establishing and managing quality systems with in-house and/or with quality consultants.Onboarding customers across the world including helping them obtain Nitrogen tanks and any relevant.Guiding initial Hydropore experiments including providing and reviewing initial experiment protocols.Working with collaborators and clients to get Hydropore operational in their labsOwning lab management including waste management, SDS, safety training, and more.Keeping our equipment running including management of our lab equipment like the Attune flow cytometer, Keyence microscope, centrifuges, incubators, BSC maintenance, pipette calibration, certifications, and warranties.RequirementsBachelors with 3 to 5 years experience or Masters with 1 to 3 years relevant experienceExperience in developing and scaling commercial manufacturing of life science tools or medical devicesExperience with setting up and effectively managing inventory and accounting platformsComfortable communicating complex topics to a variety of people with different backgroundsPreferred SkillsProject management experienceInterest in or experience with biomicrofluidicsExtreme attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently as well as lead othersComfortable creating presentations and presenting dataThe OfferAn opportunity to develop game-changing tools for T-cell immunotherapy manufacturingExposure to experts and colleagues in the field of immunology around the worldWork in a highly collaborative environment dedicated to personal and scientific growthCompetitive compensation (ie. salary & equity) plus growth opportunitiesComprehensive benefits such as unlimited PTO; 401(k); premium medical, dental, vision & life insurance; flexible spending account; remote-friendly work; and snacks.Regular fun team events you help choose during the work week!
