JAMF Administrator

Position: JAMF AdministratorLocation: New York City, NY (On-site)Job Type: 4 months Contract Job Summary: The ideal candidate will have strong experience with the JAMF Pro management system, responsible for deploying packages, managing day-to-day operations, maintaining inventory, and performing software additions and removals. The role will also involve cleaning up and optimizing the current JAMF environment to ensure efficient device management and application distribution across our Apple ecosystem. Key Responsibilities:Package Deployment: Create and deploy software packages, updates, and patches using JAMF Pro across macOS and iOS devices.Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of all Apple devices using JAMF. Perform clean-up tasks, including device decommissioning, asset tagging, and record reconciliation.Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee daily operations of the JAMF Pro system, ensuring smooth functioning of all device enrollments, configurations, and updates.Software Management: Add or remove software packages as required. Ensure compliance with company policies for application distribution and license management.Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting for device or software issues related to the JAMF environment. Assist IT support teams with escalations.Security Management: Implement and monitor security policies using JAMF. Ensure that all devices are compliant with company security standards, including encryption and patching.Automation and Scripting: Utilize shell scripting or other automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and improve system efficiency.Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to align JAMF management with broader IT infrastructure, security policies, and end-user needs. Required Skills and Qualifications:Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in JAMF Pro administration.Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of macOS, iOS, and Apple ecosystem management using JAMF Pro.Scripting: Proficient in shell scripting (Bash, Python) for automation and task optimization.Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with experience in resolving technical issues related to Apple devices and applications.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and end-users. Location: Must be based in New York City or willing to relocate. On-site presence required.
