Wide Format Operator

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wide Format Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining wide format printing equipment to produce high-quality prints and graphics. The Wide Format Operator will collaborate with our design and production teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects. Responsibilities:Know and comply with all safety features and safety rulesShow and demonstrate a quality-conscious attitudeDemonstrated good housekeeping skillsPrepares files for printingOperates and maintains large format printer to the fullest extent of output capabilitiesAble to consistently output a product that meets or exceeds the required specifications.Proactively work with maintenance, supervision and other wide format employees to ensure optimum machine maintenance and efficiencyAble to apply graphics printed to various substratesEvaluate output and make adjustments to obtain a desired level of image qualityTroubleshoots problems that occur during job submission or the printing processAble to understand and execute custom finishing requirementsAble to effectively operate a CNC cutter / router, Fotoba roller cutter, keen cut and Weldmaster powertoolsPossess the skill to execute custom hand finishing techniquesAble to complete hardware installation and customer banner finishesEnsures complete understanding of the job ticket specifications prior to starting a jobAble to perform job tasks to the required job ticket specificationsGood verbal and written communication skillsPosses basic math skillsAble to read a rulerMonitors and manages material usage to allocated quantitiesComputer literateResponsible for the accurate data collection of time, material usage and location movements in MIS system KnowledgeKnowledge of printing substrates and characteristicsStrong multi-tasker capable of handling tight deadlines and high volumeEffective verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated, highly detail-oriented, professional and organizedHigh mechanical aptitudeKnowledge of materials and equipment utilized for printing, binding and finishing. Physical Requirements:Must be able to sit for long periods of time.Must have visual acuity necessary to read material composed on video display terminals.Must have the ability to move from place to place within the building.Must be able to complete repetitive motion of hands and arms to input/retrieve information from computer.Must be able to bend/reach to get materials from floor, high and low shelves.Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
