Senior Project Manager, Team Lead

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to serve as a Team Lead within our Project & Development Services group. This dual-role position requires both strategic client leadership and hands-on project delivery. The successful candidate will act as the primary client interface, translating business priorities into actionable project plans while managing their own portfolio of projects. Additionally, they will lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, ensuring consistent delivery excellence and professional development across the team.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership & Strategic InterfaceServe as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships at senior levelsUnderstand client business objectives, priorities, and constraints, translating these into clear project requirements and delivery strategiesProactively identify client needs and opportunities for PDS service expansionLead client meetings, presentations, and strategic planning sessionsManage client expectations and communicate project status, risks, and escalations effectivelyProject DeliveryDirectly manage a portfolio of complex, high-value projects from initiation through closeoutDevelop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and risk management strategiesCoordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomesMonitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetsIdentify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly and escalating when appropriateTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead and mentor a team of Project Managers, providing guidance, coaching, and professional developmentTranslate client-driven requirements and strategic priorities into clear assignments and deliverables for team membersReview team project plans, methodologies, and deliverables to ensure quality and consistencyConduct regular one-on-ones and performance discussions with team membersFoster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvementSupport workload balancing and resource allocation across the teamOperational ExcellenceEnsure adherence to JLL PDS standards, methodologies, and best practices across all projectsContribute to the development and refinement of project management processes and toolsParticipate in business development activities including proposals, presentations, and client pitchesMaintain accurate project documentation and reporting in JLL systemsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field7-10 years of progressive project management experience in corporate real estate, facilities, or constructionProven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with budgets exceeding [insert threshold]Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles with senior-level stakeholdersPrevious experience leading, mentoring, or supervising project management teamsStrong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practicesExcellent communication skills with ability to influence and negotiate at all organizational levelsProficiency in project management software (MS Project, Procore, or similar) and Microsoft Office SuitePMP, CCM, or similar project management certification preferredKey CompetenciesClient Focus: Builds strong relationships and delivers exceptional client serviceLeadership: Inspires and develops team members while driving resultsStrategic Thinking: Connects client priorities to project execution and team activitiesCommunication: Articulates complex information clearly to diverse audiencesProblem Solving: Identifies issues proactively and develops effective solutionsCollaboration: Works effectively across functions and with external partnersAdaptability: Thrives in dynamic environments with competing prioritiesResults Orientation: Consistently delivers projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards
