The firm is well-funded and building an investment platform focused on accelerating the energy transition market across wind, solar, and energy storage through strategic capital deployment and innovative financing solutions across the US.Job DescriptionAs Vice President, Capital Markets, you will play a critical leadership role in driving capital formation, financing strategy, and transaction execution across North America, with a focus on renewable energy, energy storage, and broader energy transition investments.This individual will be responsible for leading the structuring, underwriting, and execution of financing solutions to support portfolio growth initiatives.A key component of the role will be cultivating and managing relationships with banks, institutional lenders, infrastructure funds, private credit providers, and other third-party capital sources to secure competitive financing solutions and optimize the company’s capital stack. ResponsibilitiesLead capital markets strategy and execution across debt financing, tax equity, structured finance, and project-level funding solutions for renewable energy investmentsDevelop and maintain relationships with commercial banks, institutional lenders, infrastructure investors, private credit funds, and other third-party financing partnersSource, structure, negotiate, and close third-party financing transactions including debt, warehouse facilities, back leverage, and hybrid capital solutionsOversee investment underwriting and financial analysis from market assessment and competitive positioning through diligence and final investment committee approvalLead due diligence on active transactions, including power markets diligence, risk underwriting, lender diligence, and management of third-party advisorsPartner with internal teams to build and review robust financial models supporting project underwriting, debt sizing, return sensitivities, and capital structuringLead financing and transaction negotiations, including term sheets, commitment letters, intercreditor arrangements, and definitive documentationEvaluate refinancing, recapitalization, and portfolio monetization opportunities to optimize cost of capital and maximize returnsDevelop financing materials, lender presentations, investment memoranda, and data rooms for capital raise processesQualificationsMinimum 10+ years of experience in investment banking, project finance, structured finance, principal investing, or capital markets within renewable energy / infrastructureDemonstrated track record of raising and securing third-party financing from banks, institutional lenders, infrastructure funds, and private credit providersStrong experience across debt financing, tax equity, structured finance, and capital stack optimizationDeep understanding of renewable energy markets including solar, wind, battery storage, and energy transition investmentsAdvanced financial modeling, underwriting, and accounting capabilitiesProven experience negotiating complex financing structures and transaction documentationStrong network across lenders, financial institutions, and capital providers in the renewable energy ecosystemExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skillsHighly entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial judgment and execution capabilities
