Solar Technician
Position SummaryReporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Solar Technician II & III is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and operating utility-scale solar PV systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and instrumentation calibration.Diagnose and maintain inverters, control systems, and plant equipment.Execute preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.Complete work orders and maintenance documentation.Support switching, clearances, LOTO procedures, and plant operations.Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.Work independently or within a team environment.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.4+ years of solar PV experience required; I&E, I&C, or industrial/commercial electrical experience may be considered in lieu of solar experience.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, troubleshooting, and plant operations.Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.Familiarity with solar plant operations, switchyards, and safety procedures.Valid driver's license with a good driving record.Ability to work overtime, nights, and travel as needed (~5%).Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications2-year technical degree or equivalent.Journeyman certification or related electrical credentials.Utility-scale solar or power generation experience.Location: Multiple solar sites throughout the region.
