Main StreetSalisbury, MD 21801Main Purpose of JobThe main purpose of this full-time position will be to provide Coordination of Community Services (CCS) to eligible individuals with Developmental Disabilities who reside in Wicomico County. The CCS works with individuals, their families and other support to plan for their person centered and meaningful lives in accordance with Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) guidelines. These efforts work to maintain individuals in the community and to promote individual choice and their overall quality of life. This position is designated emergency essential.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducationGraduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.ExperienceOne year of administrative staff or professional work in a health care setting.NotesCandidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThe desired candidate should possess the following:Experience scheduling and conducting interdisciplinary meetings.Experience working with community resources for the developmentally disabled.Experience with customer service and learning systems applicable to the DDA program.SELECTION PROCESSApplicants who meet the minimum (and selective) qualifications will be included in further evaluation.
