Senior React Developer

General Info: US Citizens or GC Holders onlyMust be on our W2- no C2CMust be local to St Louis, MO- Onsite 5 days a week (63141)Overview: We're looking for a mid-to-senior React Developer to design and build modern, responsive web applications. The right person writes clean, maintainable component-based code, partners closely with designers and back-end engineers, and brings strong opinions on front-end architecture without losing sight of what the business actually needs. This role fits someone who's past the basics — comfortable owning features end-to-end, mentoring less experienced developers, and contributing to technical decisions about state management, performance, and tooling.Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain user-facing features in ReactTranslate UI/UX designs into high-quality, reusable componentsManage application state (Redux, Context API, Zustand, React Query, or similar)Integrate front-end with REST and/or GraphQL APIsWrite clean, well-tested code (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.)Optimize components for performance across devices and browsersParticipate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practicesCollaborate with designers, PMs, and back-end engineers in an agile environmentTroubleshoot and debug production issues through to deploymentRequired Skills & Experience:4+ years professional front-end development3+ years building production applications with ReactStrong JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript fundamentalsSolid understanding of React hooks, component lifecycle, and modern patternsHTML5, CSS3, and modern styling (CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, Styled Components, or SCSS)Comfortable consuming REST APIs; async patterns and error handlingState management experience (Redux, Context, Zustand, or React Query)Proficient with Git and modern dev workflows (PRs, code review, CI/CD)Strong testing mindset — unit, integration, and/or end-to-endClear written and verbal communicationPreferred: Next.js or other React-based frameworks (Remix, Gatsby)GraphQL (Apollo or Relay)Build tooling (Webpack, Vite, esbuild)Accessibility (WCAG) and responsive designPerformance profiling (React DevTools, Lighthouse)Design systems or component libraries (MUI, Chakra, Radix, shadcn)Back-end exposure (Node.js, serverless, BFF patterns)Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)React Native / mobileIdeal Fit:Self-directed and pragmatic — knows when to ship and when to refactorComfortable across the front-end stack; willing to dig into unfamiliar codeCollaborative; gives and receives feedback wellCurious about new tools, but not chasing every shiny thing
