Senior Security Engineer / Security Enablement ArchitectDirect Hire | South Florida | Onsite 4 days/week | No visa sponsorshipIdentify Security is supporting a confidential enterprise client in South Florida with a direct-hire search for a senior-level security professional who can help move security earlier into business and technology projects.This is not a traditional security operations role. It is a hands-on security enablement role for someone who can work across architecture, cloud, identity, infrastructure, application teams, and business projects to reduce security friction, improve delivery speed, and create reusable security guidance patterns.The right person will be comfortable operating as a senior security generalist/architect in a complex enterprise environment.What You’ll DoYou will help project and technology teams make better security decisions earlier in the lifecycle.Key responsibilities include:Embed with business and technology project teams to understand architecture, risk, and control needs early.Review complex system designs and provide practical security guidance before projects reach late-stage approval.Create reusable security patterns, guidance, playbooks, and implementation standards that help teams move faster without creating unmanaged risk.Partner with internal SMEs across identity, cloud, AppSec, SIEM, infrastructure, and security operations.Support architecture review, threat modeling, secure design, and control validation across cloud, on-prem, hybrid, and modern application environments.Help evaluate, deploy, and transition security tooling and capabilities to operations teams.Improve consistency across security reviews by turning repeat issues into repeatable guidance.Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.What We’re Looking ForThis role is best suited for someone who has broad security architecture and engineering experience, not someone who has only owned one narrow tool or function.Ideal background includes:8+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years in information security.Strong experience with security architecture, security engineering, or enterprise security enablement.Working knowledge across cloud, identity, infrastructure, application security, DevSecOps, and network/security controls.Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, MFA, SSO, OAuth, SAML, or related identity technologies.Familiarity with cloud and hybrid environments, including Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, or on-prem enterprise infrastructure.Ability to perform architecture review, threat modeling, and practical risk assessment.Experience creating reusable security guidance, patterns, standards, playbooks, or reference architectures.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to influence project teams without owning every system directly.Strong PlusDevSecOps or secure SDLC experience.API security experience.Data protection / DLP exposure.Zero Trust architecture or policy design.Experience supporting large enterprise transformation projects.Experience handing off security capabilities to operations teams.Prior consulting, security architecture, or project-embedded security experience.This Role Is a Strong Fit If You AreA senior security generalist who can connect dots across multiple domains.A hands-on security architect who still likes solving real implementation problems.A security engineer who enjoys working with project teams before issues become expensive rework.Someone who can turn repeated security problems into reusable guidance.Comfortable being the person who helps the business move faster, not just the person who says no.Important DetailsLocation: South FloridaWork model: Onsite 4 days/weekEmployment type: Direct hire onlyVisa sponsorship: Not availableWork authorization: U.S. citizen or Green Card holder onlyClient: Confidential enterprise organizationHow to Express InterestIf this sounds aligned with your background, please send me a note with:Your current locationYour work authorization statusA brief example of a security pattern, architecture review, or project enablement effort you’ve ledYour resumeThis is a high-impact role for someone who can help security become a business enabler, not a late-stage blocker.
