Senior ERP Developer (Business Central)

DescriptionJob Type: Full-TimeLocation: Aurora, OH (On-site)LayerZero is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central developer to serve as the Business Central technical authority for the organization. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing integrations, customizations, and automations for the ERP platform in support of manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and quality processes.The Senior ERP Developer will work in close partnership with an experienced Business Central analyst and IT leadership to ensure that the ERP system delivers reliable, scalable, efficient, and effective solutions that align with company goals. The Developer will participate in all stages of the ERP life cycle: initial implementation and go-live, production operations, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical LeadershipServe as the technical lead for system upgrades, customizations, and integrationsDefine and maintain ERP technical standards, extensibility approaches, and data structuresPartner with IT leadership to build and maintain the Enterprise Systems RoadmapDevelopment ExpertiseDesign, code, and test custom Business Central extensions using ALDevelop and enhance integrations between Business Central and external systems using REST APIs, middleware, or iPaaSDesign, implement, and maintain automations within Business Central and connected systemsSystem MaintenanceDrive long-term optimization through continuous improvement, monitoring, and enhancementsProactively identify and address system performance issues via systems telemetryTroubleshoot customization, module, and integration failures across system boundariesTraining and AdoptionCreate and maintain technical and user-facing documentation for custom enhancements and integrationsConduct Key User training and train-the-trainer sessions for system upgrades, customizations, and integrationsOperational SupportSupport ERP go-live activities, including update planning, data migration, testing, and validationProvide tier 2+ support for Business Central issuesQualificationsRequired5+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central AL programming3+ years of experience supporting Business Central in a manufacturing environmentExperience with system integration design (REST APIs, OData, middleware, iPaaS)Experience supporting ERP go-live activities and system upgradesPreferredExperience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)General programming experience (.NET, Python, web development)General database experience (SQL, query optimization, bulk operations)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fieldTechnical certifications, especially MB-820 (Business Central Developer).What We OfferCompetitive pay with performance incentives 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision 401(k) with company match 3 weeks PTO, 10 paid holidays, and 2 floating holidays Why You Will Love Working With UsImpact: Develop your skills and expertise in a rapidly growing industry, with your work directly influencing the success of mission-critical projects.
