Job SummaryArcosa Aggregates is seeking a Plant Manager for our Newberry, FL facility. Plant managers control, direct, plan and coordinate mining production activities. They have statutory responsibility for safety and are also responsible for environmental impact. They oversee the acquisition, installation, maintenance and storage of mining plant and equipment. They lead and manage according to the organization’s code of conduct.Day to DayActively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition in alignment with the ARC100 program.Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.Manage all parts of an aggregate production facility to include quarry development, operations, maintenance, crushing, screening, material handling and mobile equipment, subcontractors, safety program, environmental and community relations in accordance with company policy and government agencies.Manage the day-to-day operations of the group in natural Aggregates Operation in the production of quality material at or below production costFollow established procedures for operating various conventional production tasks to produce quality aggregate materialCoordinate and supervise the daily activities of employees in the production of aggregate material in a mining environmentMake decisions that are guided by policies, procedures and business plansDemonstrate strong leadership skillsManage multiple shiftsPerform other duties or responsibilities as assignedAbout YouBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 7 years in a Natural Aggregates Operations Management positionExperience in managing an Aggregates Operation in the production of aggregate material, preferredWorking knowledge and understanding of MSHA regulations and possess a strong personal commitment to safetyKnowledge and understanding of aggregate equipment in a mining environmentExcellent time management skills: ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; strong planning skillsAbility to lead, manage and motivate with a proven track record for creating employee ownership of safety, production and qualityDiverse experience with very strong financial, communication, management, organizational, and supervisory skills essentialAbility to work extended hours, weekend and nights, where necessaryProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookPrompt, regular, and predictable attendancePositive, Team-based attitudeWorking ConditionsThe ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)BenefitsArcosa is proud to offer competitive benefits and programs to help you and your family meet your healthcare and retirement planning needs.
