Data Center Network Validator
Position Summary:
The Network Validator is responsible for troubleshooting, testing, and validating network infrastructure, including fiber optic and CAT6 cabling, within active data center environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring network integrity during deployment, testing, and bootstrap operations by identifying and resolving connectivity issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic and CAT6 cabling during network testing activities
Perform fiber optic testing, including OTDR testing on designated circuits
Identify and resolve mis-cabled or mismatched network connections
Re-seat, replace, or repair faulty cables as needed
Support network validation efforts during Oracle testing phases
Assist with bootstrap activities, including large-scale deployment support
Utilize testing equipment to diagnose connectivity and performance issues
Accurately document findings, issues, and resolutions
Communicate updates and coordinate with teams via Slack and project portals
Clearing errors
Qualifications:
Preferred minimum 1 year experience with fiber optic and structured cabling systems (CAT6 or higher) in data center environment
Strong troubleshooting skills in network environments
Familiarity with OTDR testing and interpretation of results
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-demand deployment environments
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
