Position SummaryThe Receptionist for the Healing Arts Department provides a warm, welcoming environment and creates positive first impressions for guests. This role supports daily operations through administrative responsibilities and dispensary support, ensuring a seamless and high-quality guest experience. Schedule RequirementsMust be available to work evening and weekend shiftsPosition requires a minimum commitment of 18+ hours per weekAccountabilitiesCheck in guests for services, including scheduling, modifying, and canceling appointmentsOpen and close the department daily in accordance with standard operating proceduresSupport linen room maintenance and dispensary operations, ensuring product availability for all servicesRespond to therapists' written requests related to facility and product needsWork closely with therapists to ensure smooth appointment flow and a positive guest experienceDevelop and maintain a strong understanding of all Healing Arts modalities and effectively communicate offerings to guestsMaintain a clean, safe, fully stocked, and organized work environmentCommunicate clearly and professionally with guests, team members, supervisors, and therapists regarding any relevant occurrences or needsBuild effective relationships with guests by understanding expectations, addressing concerns, and offering practical solutionsPerform other duties as assigned CompetenciesDemonstrates a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusionUpholds strong ethics, integrity, and values aligned with Kripalu's organizational principlesApproaches work with a collaborative mindsetBuilds and maintains effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrates flexibility and agility, supporting needs across departments as requiredCultivates a sense of joy, presence, and positivity in the workplaceMaintains knowledge and skills necessary to meet job expectations and stays current with relevant practicesApproaches experiences as opportunities for learning and growthTakes responsibility for personal and professional developmentModels Kripalu's values: service, presence, inquiry, compassion, practice, and integrity MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS-1-3 years customer service or related experience -Associates degree OR equivalent experience including training in Microsoft programs -Basic math and money/POS skills -Ability to work independently while being a team player -Prior experience with ResortSuite software a plus ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS-Prolonged periods (at least two consecutive hours) of standing/walking around the department -Frequent use of computers and handheld electronic equipment. -Reaching, including above eye level, crouching, kneeling, stooping -This position requires lifting, standing, reaching with arms and hands, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. -Lifting and moving items weighing up to 35 lbs.
