Assistant Manager, Facilities Management, Marlborough, MA, Onsite 5 days a week
Schedule Mon - Fri: 8 AM - 5 PM (40 Hours) ONSITE- 5 days a week What You'll Do Job Summary: This role supports the coordination and day-to-day execution of facilities operations, ensuring services are delivered consistently, safely, and in alignment with organizational standards. This role partners with leadership to maintain efficient operations, resolve issues, and support teams, vendors, and stakeholders across the organization. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Supports daily facilities operations by coordinating activities, monitoring service delivery, and addressing routine operational needsProvides guidance and support to team members, reinforcing expectations, facilitating communication, and assisting with development and performance managementAssists in implementing and maintaining workplace programs, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and applicable safety and regulatory requirementsTracks operational metrics, service levels, and trends, sharing insights to highlight risks, gaps, and areas for improvementSupports vendor coordination activities, including monitoring service delivery, reviewing performance, and ensuring alignment with expectations and requirementsMaintains accurate operational records, documentation, and reporting related to facilities services and expendituresAssists in monitoring budgets and expenses, helping track costs and identify areas for efficiency and cost managementSupports preventive maintenance activities and ensures processes are followed to maintain assets and minimize operational disruptionsServes as a point of contact for escalated service issues, safety concerns, or operational disruptions, coordinating resolution with appropriate partnersCollaborates with internal teams and external providers to ensure operational needs are met and impacts are communicated effectivelyTracks project-related activities, milestones, and risks, providing updates and escalating concerns as neededContributes to consistent processes, knowledge sharing, and team alignment to support reliable service delivery What You'll Need Education & Experience: Required Education: Bachelor's degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree), advanced degree preferred.Required Experience: 3 - 5 years of relevant experience, no prior leadership experience required but preferred. Qualifications & Skills: Experience supporting facilities operations, workplace services, or a similar operational functionStrong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasksAbility to analyze operational information and identify trends or areas for improvementEffective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and provide clear updatesExperience working with vendors or external service providers and supporting service delivery oversightBasic understanding of safety, compliance, and operational standards in a facilities or service environmentAbility to support team leadership, including coaching, guidance, and reinforcing expectationsProficiency in tracking data, maintaining documentation, and supporting reporting processes What We Do DCU is the largest credit union headquartered in New England - serving more than one million members in all 50 states.
