The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in DevOps, scripting, configuration management, and database lifecycle automation.This role will focus on creating scalable, repeatable, and secure patching frameworks across hybrid and multi cloud infrastructures.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement automated patching frameworks for:Oracle (including RAC & Exadata)SQL ServerIBM Db2MongoDB, MySQL / MariaDB, PostgreSQL & CassandraDevelop end to end patching pipelines including:Version discoveryPre checks/post checksCompliance validationReporting and dashboardsBuild and maintain Automation Workflows using Rundeck, Ansible, Terraform, MFO, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOpsDevelop reusable automation frameworks and templates for infrastructure operations.Create and maintain scripts using Python and other scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell).Integrate automation workflows with monitoring, scheduling, and orchestration tools.Integrate patching automation with CMDB, service management, and change control workflows (ServiceNow preferred).Collaborate with OS, Database, and Security teams to ensure compliant and scalable automation.Troubleshoot automation failures and optimize existing automation processes.Document automation designs, workflows, and operational procedures.Mandatory Skills:Automation Tools:o Ansible (playbooks, roles, inventories)o Rundeck (job orchestration, scheduling)o Terraform, GitLab CI/CDo MFO (Managed File Processing / relevant enterprise automation tool)Programming & Scripting:o Python (strong hands-on experience)o Shell scripting (Bash) and/or PowerShellAutomation Expertise:Proven experience implementing patching automation solutionsAutomation for large-scale enterprise environmentsAdded Advantage (Good to Have):Strong knowledge of Operating Systems:O Linux (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu)o Windows ServerDatabase Knowledge:o Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise databaseso Understanding of database patching conceptsExperience with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps toolsExposure to monitoring and alerting toolsKnowledge of security and compliance requirements related to patchingIdeal Candidate Profile:Has implemented automation solutions from design to production, not just consumed themHands-on experience automating patching at scaleStrong problem-solving and debugging skillsComfortable working in a large enterprise, cross-functional environmentAble to clearly document and explain automation workflows
