Structural Engineer
Overview
As a Structural Engineer in the US Mining & Metal, Process & Infrastructure Design team, you shape structural solutions for water, wastewater, heavy industry, mining, and power clients. You will analyze and design structural elements, review codes, prepare deliverables, and perform field inspections. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define scope, budget, and schedule, while upholding safety and quality. This role offers diverse projects, growth opportunities, and the chance to contribute to critical infrastructure. You will work with experienced engineers and have opportunities to advance toward licensure and leadership.

Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET)EIT required; PE/SE preferred with ability to obtain in 1–2 years3–5 years of structural engineering experience, including heavy industry experience (2 years)Strong communication with contractors, clients, and internal teamsSolid understanding of practical structural engineering applicationsKnowledge of design tools and standards: IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318, ACI 350Strong seismic design knowledgeAbility to work independently and in teamsProficiency with structural modeling software: RISA, ETABS, STRUDL, STAAD, SAFE, SAP2000Proficiency with MS Office and project management toolsBasic reinforced concrete, steel, and foundation design knowledgeExcellent written and verbal communication; detail-orientedBackground check requiredStrong communicationDetail orientationTeam collaborationRISAETABSSTRUDL
