Production Operator – Guitar String Manufacturing

*Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 5:30 AM–2:00 PM* *About the Job* Stringjoy manufactures premium guitar and bass strings at our facility in Nashville, Tennessee. We’re looking for dependable people who enjoy hands-on production work and are interested in building a long-term career in manufacturing. This is a *repetitive, detail-oriented production job*. Most of your day will be spent at a workstation operating string-winding equipment, inspecting your work, and maintaining a steady production pace. For the right person, that’s a feature—not a drawback. If you like working with your hands, getting into a rhythm, mastering a process, and seeing how much better and more efficient you can become over time, you may be a great fit here. *What You’ll Do* * Operate precision equipment to manufacture guitar strings. * Perform the same manufacturing processes repeatedly throughout your shift while maintaining speed and quality. * Inspect strings for small defects and make adjustments when necessary. * Meet clearly defined production and quality expectations. * Keep your workstation clean, organized, and ready for production. * Learn additional processes and equipment as your skills develop. * Work independently while being part of a production team. *This Job Is a Good Fit If You…* * *Like hands-on work.* You’d rather make something than sit at a desk all day. * *Are comfortable with repetition.* You enjoy mastering a process and doing it consistently well hundreds of times. * *Are dependable.* Showing up on time and ready to work every day matters. * *Can maintain a steady pace.* This is production work, and meeting output goals is an important part of the job. * *Pay close attention to quality.* Small differences matter in the products we make. * *Have good fine-motor skills.* Experience with manufacturing, assembly, sewing, machining, electronics, mechanics, crafts, or similar hands-on work can translate well. * *Want stability.* We are especially interested in people looking for a steady, long-term manufacturing job rather than a short-term stop between other careers. Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse, or machine-operation experience is helpful but *not required*. We provide paid training. You do *not* need to be a musician or know anything about guitars to be successful in this position. *Schedule* * Monday through Friday * 5:30 AM–2:00 PM * Full-time * Consistent schedule * No regularly scheduled weekend work Because our production team starts early, applicants should make sure this schedule is something they can reliably maintain long-term. *Work Environment* This is an active manufacturing-floor position. You should expect: * Most of the workday to be spent standing or moving. * Repetitive hand and arm movements. * A steady production pace. * Manufacturing equipment and normal production-floor noise. * Detailed work requiring sustained concentration. * Clearly measured production and quality expectations. Headphones are permitted for many production tasks once you are fully trained and when they can be used safely, so many team members listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks while they work. *Pay & Advancement* Starting pay is *$16.25 per hour*. As you become faster, more consistent, and capable of handling additional production responsibilities, there are opportunities for performance-based raises. Most of our associates are making $17.50 or more within 60 days of starting. Strong team members can also develop into positions involving: * Additional manufacturing processes * Quality control * Training * Production support * Shift leadership We want people who can become highly skilled at what they do and grow with the company over time. *Benefits* * Health insurance * Dental insurance * Vision insurance * Paid time off * 401(k) with 3% company match for eligible employees * Employee discount * Paid on-the-job training * Consistent weekday schedule *About Stringjoy* Stringjoy is a Nashville-based manufacturer of premium guitar and bass strings and accessories.
