We provide care to those most in need including those who are suffering from homelessness, mental illness, substance use, mental illness, and chronic medical conditions. We provide team basedcare in an integrated care setting. We are looking for a mission driven,service leader who works well in a team, has experience with managing and supporting staff, champions quality improvement, leads change, and is excited to innovate.This is a union eligible position.This is an On Call position: shift hours and days vary as needed.Job SummaryHealthRIGHT 360, a nonprofit organization and a family of programs, is committed to providing accessibleand comprehensive healthcare services to vulnerable populations. By integrating physical and behavioral health, we empower individuals toovercome challenges by addressing social determinants of health, fostering resilience, and facilitatingrecovery.The HealthRIGHT 360 dental clinic provides compassionate, nonjudgmental comprehensive oralhealthcare. Our supportive staff, experienced with the complex healthcare needs resulting fromhomelessness and poverty, is dedicated to serving the community.Working under the supervision of the Dental Director, the Dentist provides professional, high-qualitydental diagnosis, treatment, and education to a broad range of patients, including children, adolescentsand adults and provides hands-on dental care in a variety of settings while achieving the highest levels ofappropriateness, quality, efficiency, accessibility and responsiveness.Key Responsibilities Maintains full appointment schedule for office practice and other settings. Provides a full range of general dental services within the dentist’s defined scope of training. Utilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment techniques. Refers patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate. Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate. Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of dental technical and support staff asrequired. Follows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous qualityimprovement objectives and safety, environmental and/or infection control standards. Maintains necessary credentialing, licensure, and continuing education requirements.And perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation, Certification, and Experience DDS or DMD degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in generaldentistry. Current Dental licensure in the state of California. Valid DEA license to prescribe narcotics. Current First Aid & CPR certification.Knowledge Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of modern dentistry and oral surgery. Thorough knowledge of dental terminology and dental science. Thorough understanding of the theories, methods and procedures for the prevention of dentaldiseases and the required corrective treatment. Knowledge of community-based dental environment. Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of dental evaluations,diagnosis and treatment. Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements. Knowledge of ethical and legal standards for the delivery of dental care. Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aides and ability to prescribedosage and instruct patients in correct usage.Desired Familiarity with other community agencies in the Bay area to make appropriate referrals. Understanding of harm reduction philosophy and ability to provide non-judgmental, clientcentered servicesMust complete background check and Livescan.
