What You Will Do: Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for safety? Are you a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment? If so, we want to hear from you! We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Special Hazards Systems Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing thorough inspections of emergency lighting systems on a large college campus. You will also play a supporting role in fire alarm and sprinkler system inspections as needed. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and excellent customer service. How You Will Do It: Conduct comprehensive inspections of emergency lighting systems on a college campus, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Assist senior inspectors with fire alarm and sprinkler system inspections as required. Identify and document deficiencies on inspection reports, providing clear descriptions and recommendations for corrective action. Develop and maintain inspection schedules, adhering to established timelines. Communicate inspection progress and discovered deficiencies to the college campus representative frequently and clearly. Work independently and manage daily tasks effectively, prioritizing safety and timely completion. Maintain regular communication with supervisor and account representative regarding the status of ongoing inspections, identified issues, and other site-related concerns. Provide exceptional customer service by fostering professional and positive relationships with the college campus staff. What We Look For: Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of experience in fire safety systems inspections, or related field, preferred. Working knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards relevant to emergency lighting systems is a plus. Strong understanding of safety principles and safe work practices. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in using computer software for data entry and report generation. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong customer service skills and ability to build positive relationships. Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
