Our mission is to harness the transformative power of music to increase access to higher education for students in communities with limited resources by removing barriers to achievement through academic and social support. *Job Overview:* The Program Manager is responsible for the daily operations, artistic excellence, and community engagement of an assigned Harmony Project site (Pasadena or Paramount). This position leads on-site program delivery, supports Teaching Artists, manages the site budget and schedule, and serves as a primary point of contact for students, families, and community partners. This role requires a flexible schedule, with working days spanning Monday through Saturday, and includes a mix of on-site program leadership and administrative responsibilities. The Program Manager works closely with the Program Director to ensure program quality, strong communication, and high-quality student and family experiences at the assigned site, and supports the planning and execution of special events, in collaboration with HP leadership. *Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities)* * Strive to create and implement programming that is community-based, aligning with Harmony Project’s mission. * Design and implement overall program design and schedule. * Create the site budget for approval and track program budgets. * Motivate and drive artistic excellence of all ensembles and overall site. * Engage with surrounding community to ensure HP is serving changing needs of its constituents. * Support Teaching Artists as both a team and individual. * Provide on-site supervision and support as needed. * Organize and produce concerts and activities. * Manage annual Progress Check-Ins. * Conduct and manage communication with families. * Actively recruit new students from community schools and organizations. * Work with the Data Team to collect and manage student data and attendance. * Support the planning and execution of special events, including but not limited to concerts and fundraising event performances. * Strengthen partnerships with all stakeholders (students, families, Teaching Artists, program partners, community leaders and organizations, donors). *Required Skills/Abilities* * A personal mission, vision and values that align with Harmony Project’s. * A passion for community impact and youth development. * A love for working with youth. * Exhibit professionalism and integrity through superior written and verbal communication skills. * Exceptional skills in the areas of organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage multiple tasks, define and set priorities and problem solve. * Ability to thrive in a continually evolving environment. * Ability to be flexible, work effectively either independently or in a team environment. * Working knowledge of Slack, Canva, and Mailchimp. * Fluency in all Microsoft Office programs (Office, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace apps (Calendar, Gmail, Google Drive, etc.) *Education and Experience* * Bachelors Degree with experience in an area related to youth education and program management, preferably in the field of music or community development. * Minimum 3 years experience working in related field * Minimum 3 years experience in management * Knowledge of working in community and school partnerships * Prior nonprofit work experience a plus *Physical Requirements* · Must be able to remain stationary for prolonged periods of time. *Additional Requirements* * Flexible work schedule to include some weekends, weeknights, and holidays. *Disclaimer* The information presented indicates the general nature and level of work expected of employees in this classification.
