Job Qualifications Current C-SLPA license Minimum of a B.A./B.S. in Communicative Disorders, Linguistics, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is essential. Strong skills and a high comfort level in managing small groups of children. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with children, families, and team members. Job Description We seek a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to lead our therapeutic language-based preschool for children with ASD at The Wiley Academy for Specialized Learning (WASL) East. Our academy has a proven track record of transforming the lives of our youngest learners through intensive, language-focused services. While under the supervision of a licensed SLP, the candidate will implement lesson plans, interact with and meet the children's individual needs, and communicate with parents/guardians. This position involves collaboration with a team of Speech-Language Pathologists and Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants to create a nurturing classroom environment at our headquarters in Culver City, CA. Key Responsibilities Facilitate speech therapy sessions in small group settings, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each child. Lead engaging classroom activities that promote language development and social skills. Manage and support classroom staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment. Implement and monitor objectives set by partnering with Speech-Language Pathologists, ensuring alignment with individualized treatment plans.
