Senior Technical Project Manager
Our client a global entertainment provider is hiring for a Sr. Technical Program Manager to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. This is an initial 1-month long contract opportunity and it is full onsite in their LA office. As the Sr. Technical Program Manager you will support high-impact playback platforms across Apple and Android streaming applications. This role will lead two Agile scrum teams focused on video playback operations, acting as the bridge between technical engineering teams and business stakeholders to drive successful product delivery in a fast-paced streaming environment.Contract: 1-month (possibility of extension) OnsitePay: 75 /hr. on a W2 Responsibilities:Cross- Team Communication: Drive cross-team communication by providing accurate and proactive project tracking to internal partners and the larger organization.Agile Best Practices: Champion agile methodologies within your assigned teams and collaborate with the larger PMO to drive implementation of best practices across teams. Coordinate agile ceremonies at the team level.Impediment Removal: Actively identify and remove impediments that may impact team velocity or deliverables. Partner with other program managers and organizational leaders to remove impediments and balance risks.Program Planning: Participate in planning, balance cross-team dependencies with the PMO, and set delivery plans.Development Team Relationship: Develop a healthy working relationship within your teams and take steps to build an environment of mutual respect. Work with and coach Product Management, Engineering leaders, and Business partners to accurately set expectations in managing the program backlogs, prioritization, and refinements.Relentless Improvement: Implement processes that foster relentless improvement and drive the team and the organization towards more efficient product delivery.Qualities / Experience Were Seeking5+ years' experience as an agile program manager/scrum master building complex software-based systems from inception to release, including coordinating cadence-based releases. Prior experience in managing video playback teams preferred.Work as part of a larger PMO to deliver complex solutions, utilizing an Agile process to call out issues, remove impediments, and manage risk.Able to handle high-level partners within the organization and help to balance competing needs and requests.Experience managing teams, negotiating compromises, and interfacing between technical and business partners, with an eye on using those skills to increase the speed and quality of software delivery.Solid understanding of Agile software development methodologies, with demonstrated success driving those teams to higher levels of productivity and efficiency.• Fundamental project management tooling:o Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Structure)o Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Slides etc)o Communication Tools (Slack, Zoom, GMeet)• Project planning and milestone delivery documentation and visualization: Gantt charts, dashboards, roadmaps etc.• Manage and coordinate meetings as a facilitator for multiple groups of people• Able to manage several moving parts and communicate effectively with the teams• They will be working with individuals at all levels and within all verticals on skill sets so should be able to partner with teams effectively.Nice to Have:• Video Operations or playback experience• Any streaming experience with SDLC• Has worked in Agile setting• Experience with ad technologies is helpful
