Basic QualificationsAbility to configure Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.Must have the Security+ certification or be willing to obtain this cert within 6 months of hire date.Ability to create and modify Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word documents.Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph; must be a U.S. citizen.Job DescriptionThe Network Engineer responsibilities include:Designs and plans network communications systems; provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.Conducts testing of network design.Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.Desired SkillsCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher.Microsoft A+ or equivalent computer knowledge.Security+ or higher.Degrees2-year degree or higher, in a network, computer science, or cybersecurity discipline.Additional KnowledgeAbility to design Cisco networks.Work LocationOnsite full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.J-18808-Ljbffr
