Job Description Civil Project Engineer (Land Development / Site Design)Location: Tampa, FL Job Type: Full TimeCompensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience and professional certifications/licensure, along with a comprehensive benefits package.A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join its Land Development / Site Civil Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of commercial, residential, and mixed-use site development projects while collaborating with experienced engineers and project managers.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to take on increased responsibility, gain exposure to project management, and continue developing technical expertise in site design and land development.Key Responsibilities• Design site layouts, grading plans, and stormwater management systems• Prepare utility layouts including water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage• Develop soil erosion and sediment control plans• Perform stormwater calculations and hydrologic/hydraulic analysis• Assist with zoning approvals and land development permitting processes• Prepare construction documents and site plan drawings• Coordinate with internal engineering teams and external consultants• Assist with field inspections and construction administration supportRequired Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering • 3+ years of experience in land development or site civil engineering• Proficiency in Civil 3D• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Highly organized with strong attention to detailPreferred Qualifications• Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software• Experience preparing grading and drainage plans• Familiarity with zoning approvals and site plan permitting processesWhat This Role Offers• Opportunity to work on diverse land development projects• Collaborative team environment with mentorship from senior engineers• Career growth and advancement opportunities• Exposure to project management and client interaction
