Unify Technologies - Lead Android Developer - Kotlin Multiplatform

Responsibilities Architecture, design, and development of Android-based smart glass and companion mobile applications. Work with smart glass Android ARDKs to develop on-glass functionality and connectivity to the companion mobile app. Develop shared business logic for use across Android and iOS platforms using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP). Use Jetpack Compose for modern Android UI development. Develop functionality to deliver hands-free and voice-driven interaction capability as per client requirements. Develop integrations with on-device AI/ML and navigation SDKs as per requirements. Write efficient, low-latency code for asynchronous operations as required. Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through rigorous testing. Guide, review and mentor junior and mid-level Android developers on the team.Requirements Key Skills: Android Developers, Kotlin, Smart Glasses/Kotlin Multiplatform/KMP/KMM. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in Android development, with at least 2 years in a lead role. Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with deep knowledge of the Android SDK and platform. Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for declarative UI development. Demonstrated experience developing applications for Android-based smart glass devices. Understanding of Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) for cross-platform shared logic development. Excellent technical problem-solving skills and collaborative teamwork capabilities. Experience using AI coding assistants to develop and deliver high-quality code. Experience working directly with overseas (preferably US-based) client teams. Experience with Jira or similar agile project management tools.
