DescriptionInvent the future with us.Ampere is a semiconductor design company for a new era, leading the future of computing with an innovative approach to CPU design focused on high-performance, energy efficient AI compute.As a pioneer in the new frontier of energy efficient high-performance computing, Ampere is part of the Softbank Group of companies driving sustainable computing for AI, Cloud, and edge applications.Ampere is seeking to fill a temporary staff augmentation DFT Debug Verification Engineer role supporting our Silicon Verification team for an anticipated period of 4 months with a possibility of extension.Scope of Work:We are seeking a highly motivated DFT Debug Verification Engineer to join our Silicon Verification team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enabling and verifying debug features across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. This role requires strong expertise in SystemVerilog-based verification, netlist-level connectivity, and scan/JTAG-based debug methodologies.The candidate will work closely with Design, DFT, DV, Emulation, and Silicon Validation teams to ensure robust implementation and verification of debug infrastructure, including scan chains, JTAG interfaces, and related test logic.Deliverables:Develop and execute verification plans for DFT debug features at block and full-chip levelsPerform netlist-level connectivity checks and debug issues related to scan dumpAnalyze and debug scan chain failures at the scan cell levelValidate debug features such as scan dump, reset control, clock gating, and test access mechanismsWork on JTAG protocol validation and TAP controller-based test access pathsDevelop and maintain RTL + Netlist SystemVerilog-based testbench components for debug feature verificationCollaborate with DFT and Design teams to resolve structural and functional issues at RTL and gate-levelPerform root-cause analysis of DFT-related failures during simulation or silicon bring-upSupport post-silicon debug by correlating simulation and tester (ATE) dataReview netlist connectivity and assist in identifying test coverage gaps or implementation issuesEducation, Skills, & Experience Desired:Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fieldExperience: 6+ years of enabling and verifying debug features across pre-silicon and post-silicon environmentsStrong proficiency in SystemVerilog and verification methodologiesExperience with netlist-level verification and debuggingSolid understanding of DFT concepts including scan chains, boundary scan, and test modesHands-on experience with JTAG protocol and scan architectureExperience debugging issues at the scan cell levelFamiliarity with simulation tools and waveform analysisStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEngagement Arrangements:As a Contingent Worker, you will work as an employee of a Staffing Vendor firm, who provides staff augmentation and payroll services for Ampere Computing. The staffing firm offers weekly pay based on approved timecard submittal, medical benefits, and other employment benefits, based on eligibility. The hourly pay range for this role is between $96.53 and $140.38 per hour.The role is based at Ampere's Santa Clara, CA office. This role is full-time onsite.#LI-Onsite
